Thank You.... June Guys and Mix it Monthly

Thank you so very much for all your hugs and prayers on my mother's passing.  Unfortunately we cannot get her interred until the 26th of this month as everywhere is booked solid, which is causing us a lot of distress as you can imagine.

To keep myself sane have been working on the June Guys (29 faces) in my journal.

The following male faces are done in the style of Vincent Van Gogh and worked in Oil Pastels.

Also worked in Oil Pastels - Modigiliani Style

Then painted with Acrylics - Chagall Style

I enjoyed exploring the different styles and will probably rework them a bit, it has definitely kept me occupied.  The left-hand page of the Chagall style can also go into the Mix it Monthly challenge - Home. and AJJ - houses.

Thanking you again from the bottom of my heart.  Take care of yourselves, hugs Annette xx

How awful to have such a delay, Netty. Not the kind of thing you want to happen at such a sad time.

I do love your portraits, especially the Chagall style ones. And the bearded Modigliani man looks the spitting image of Keanu Reeves!

So sad to here of the passing of your mum and the wait you are having to endure before your final goodbyes.
However your works look amazing :)

So sorry to hear of your sad loss Netty, and the addition of the delays.
Art helps so much at times like these, and your faces and studies of The Masters are so well done. Three of my most loved artists.
I send my loving thoughts to you and your family.

I am so sorry everything is taking so long with your mom's internment. I know how difficult that is. My mom died three years ago. I can't imagine having all the burial stuff drug out that long. I'm so glad you have your art to keep you occupied.

These are terrific portraits and what an interesting idea to make them "in the style of". I especially like the Modigiliani, and am impressed that you have made it with oil pastels.
Best wishes to you, Netty, at this sad time.

Sorry to hear of your mothers passing. It is never easy to lose someone, but then to have to wait so long is inhumane. I feel for you and am so glad that you do have your art to get you by. Your guys are looking grand, I don't do so well with male faces at all.

I was catching up on your past posts today and was so sad to hear about your mother! The passing of a loved one is such a hard thing to have happen.
Your art, however, is quite striking - I love how you worked in the styles of other artists!
