Bits and Bobs for Paint Party Friday

Am afraid am having a pretty lazy week art wise due to us getting out and about enjoying the lovely weather.  In the UK you have to take the opportunity when you can.

My first make is an altered Torso, made of Napkins.  Gesso, painted a Bird in Acrylics, added some Pearls, Ribbon and finished it off with Gloss Modge Podge so its easy to clean.  The back is the same as the front.

Journal 52 Challenge, Week 20,  is to create a page inspired by a book.  So here's mine.......

This page was created with papers, Acrylics, texture paste, Oil Pastels and bits and bobs.
Have to admit there is a touch of Joseph minus his technicolour dreamcoat...............lol

The following spread is a Work in Progress, its about a Girl who wants to swim with Mermaids.  A complete colour contrast from the page above.

As you can see there is a lot more to do yet.

I hope you have been enjoying the weather this week and are keeping well.  My insides are still on the delicate side but improving each day.  Have a lovely weekend, hugs Annette x

What a lot of creativity in different styles...lovely Netty!
That torso looks so sweet with that little bird and the pages, especially the one with the stunning bright colours, look so well too.
Kind regards, Alie :-)

Hey Annette - I don't blame you - get out in the sunshine and enjoy the pretty weather while you can.
The torso is very pretty - aren't those lovely napkins. I was a little surprised by your book choice - I thought it would be Murder On Elm Street with something red! Looking forward to seeing the girl who wants to swim with the mermaids. I always love what you do Annette -

I love the variations of your projects Netty. You know I tend to be the same way:) -and about taking advantage of good weather too! Your torso is delightful and even though Joseph doesn't have the Technicolor coat he certainly is surrounded by Technicolor. In contrast your soft mermaid wip is looking really lovely.

Annette, you are so right. The Second piece does remind me of Joseph and his dream coat. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

I love the Torso. . .I tried to do that with fabric.. ..well, I tried. This sounds fun and it turned out great. Yep, your creativity with the colors, I knew that was Joseph and his coat of many colors. . . Excellent. More color on the mermaid unless she is underwater.. .. then perhaps a few 'fish.' just sayin' Blessings, Janet (Thanks for the visit.)
