Paint Party Friday - Bits and Pieces

Hi, sorry to have missed entering into the last PPF, but things were pretty hectic here with families, which did not leave a lot of art time.  But am pleased to have finished quite a large canvas, least I think its finished.....who knows..........

20'' x 8''
Painted in Acrylics with brushes and palette knife
Sorry about the quality of the photograph but had great difficulty getting it all in the picture.
Looking it at here on the blog can see I need to tighten the whole thing up and add more shading into it.

Next am showing a painting worked in watercolours, not my favourite medium but keep trying with it.

At least it looks like a bird..............lol

The following is a medium sized canvas 12" x 10" which as you can see is only at the bare bones stage....

Wish I could just slap on the paint and see what evolves, but its not to be, always have to have a plan.

Thank you for calling in and wish you a Happy Weekend and may the sunny weather continue.  Hugs Annette x

Pages for Journal 52

Hi hope you had a Happy Easter, we have had a lovely time, albeit quite hectic with families.

No I didn't make the cake, just in case you think I did............lol  just thought it was very pretty

Catching up with Journal 52 prompts.  Prompt 15 is 'Party Animals' - sketched with a  black pen and whisper coloured pens, quite fun to do on an index card.

Prompt 16 is 'Recycling' (using recycled materials as you can see)  Also wanted to have a play on words thats why I drew the cyclist and wrote the song lyrics around the map.  It is also Earth week so tried to incorporate this into it as well.

Thank you for dropping in and hope you have a lovely week, hugs Annette x

Journal 52 - Prompt 14 - Weather

The actual prompt for No 14 is Rain or Shine, but generally it has to be about the Weather.  So have chosen to use my own prompt of  'Whatever the Weather we will all be Together' as my double spread.

Using Acrylic Paints, Black, White and Gold Gel Pens

I really enjoyed making up this spread from my imagination and hope you like it as well.  Another busy week ahead with Easter just around the corner, a time for visiting families and generally having a great natter.

Thank you for popping in.  Happy Easter and have a great week, hugs Annette x

Early Post for Paint Party Friday

Hi, yep its an early post for PPF as Thursday and Friday here is going to be busy.  Carpets to be laid and new furniture delivered, plus painting the Bathroom (which is long overdue).  Will be visiting your blogs over the weekend, sorry about this.

To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour
(William Blake)
This page was created using serviettes, Mask and Acrylics Paints, I kinda like it as it shows the pleasures I get from this earth.

The double spread below is to be journalled in, there is a booklet attached marked Dreams where my writings will go.

Created using Acrylic Paints, Masks, Oil Pastels, White Pen,  Stamps and collaged pieces.

Thank you for popping in.  Wishing you a lovely weekend and take care of yourself, hugs Annette x

Mix it Monthly go Maps !

Mix it Monthly are challenging us to use maps in our works, plus they have given a colour palette to work from as well.  This month its Grey, Burnt Sienna,  Black, Pale Pink and Rose Pink.  Our hostess is the fab artist Piarom.

Products used:   Gesso, Map, Stencil, Distress Inks, Acrylic Paints, Pastel Pencils and a variety of stamps. This was a page that came together easily, which certainly makes a change, although originally she was going to be a fairy postwoman............... lol

Thank you for popping in.  Wishing you a lovely week.  Hugs Annette x

Journal 52 and Paint Party Friday

Hi, am really early for Paint Party Friday, mainly because have so much to do at home.

The page below is for Journal 52 prompts Week 5 - Abstract Art and Week 10 - Art for a Cause (combined)

Gelli plate background, ink pen and Acrylics (the words are digital)

I think it is Abstractish...... painted with the Macmillan Nurses in mind who do such a wonderful job supporting Cancer patients.  Have personally experienced this twice in my life and have many friends who are undergoing Cancer treatments.

For Paint Party Friday am showing a canvas board painted in Acrylics.  Its called the Poetry of Flowers.

Have just been sent this beautiful Haiku for the above painting, by Jez one of our Paint Party artists at 18.11 today, thank you so much Jez

Light as Thistledown
Fragile moments of Beauty
Heal Sorrowing Hearts

At the moment am working on a large oblong canvas using a similar design to the above and colours, but in a different formation.  Will show you when am nearer completion............

Have a great week and weekend, am off to Lou Lou's Vintage Fair in Bedford on Sunday with my youngest daughter and friend, followed up by a visit to a Themed Bar/Restaurant,  Laurel and Hardy, supposed to have a sun terrace.........so hope it is dry and sunny......

Thank you for popping by, take care of yourselves, hugs Annette xx
