Reworking and Other Bits and Pieces

Hi, have done some more work on the oil painting shown last week............(in the post below)

Mellowed the colours, softened and reshaped the eyes plus added some more colour to the background.  Like her a lot more now..............

The following pieces are from my sketch book.............

Deep In Thought............worked in Oil Pastels

Then a quick coloured pencil sketch of my Great Grand-daughter, which is vaguely like her........lol

A couple of Acrylic Paintings which unfortunately do not photograph well because of the glass frames... Fire Maiden and Ice Maiden

Christmas Presents - to be given as a pair

and to finish a photo of my Great Grandchildren whom I love dearly...........so full of mischief

Thank you for popping in, am showing all these bits and bobs at Paint Party Friday.  Have a great week and take care, hugs Annette x

Your great-granddaughter sketch definitely looks like her - what an adorable photo too! The faces are all looking great, but the Fire Maiden takes centre stage for me - wonderful!

Your oil paintings are fantastic. I've only done one oil and then I stuck my finger in it and messed it up. I didn't know oil took weeks to dry.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.

Wonderful portraits this week, Netty. I hope you are feeling well. I got my shingles shot last week and had a small reaction, but better than the actual malady. I smiled when I saw your adorable grandchildren. I just joined the on-line Sketchbook Skool, so hope to get the habit. Thank you for stopping by my blog.

I've tried almost all mediums but oils never. Waiting to dry would be too much for me! :)

Wonderful portraits. The first girl looks so gentle with lovely eyes, the second has a lot of personality with a very attractive strong face and the one of your great Grand-daughter (??? surely you are too young!) does look like her indeed.

I love what you did with that first painting--I loved her to begin with, but what you did added to her charm. I especially loved your fire maiden. She is beautiful.

Your grandkids are darling, by the way!

Your lady looks much happier this week with those little bit of eye fixings. Funny how the eyes really are the key to the soul, or in this case the key to a better painting. And your fire and ice maidens are beautiful too.
