The Final Face of 29 Faces

Woo Hoo, have completed the challenge set by Ayala Art, its a wonderful challenge to have been a part of.
Have made some new friends and met up with old friends, seen some great art with a very supportive group of artists.  The challenge has pushed me into drawing every day and given me confidence to blog my attempts.

This is my Final Face

At the moment am calling it 'Town Life' until I can think of a better title.

Sketched in Graphite Pencils, palette knife, Acrylic Paint on Watercolour Paper plus a black pen.  Did you spot the couple on the roof.......

Just in case you missed Face 28 am showing it again

Am sorry this challenge has ended,  but will continue to draw every day because I certainly need the practice.  Have now a File for all of the 29 Faces, they are going to be great references for the future, plus the family will want to have a look at them.

To finish this post am proudly showing you a picture of the prettiest face, my great grand-daughter Amy.

Penultimate Face of the 29 Faces

Hi, as promised have taken more time with the final faces, am only counting this as one face, because I have painted another one which I would love to show you on Thursday.

This is called 'Cocooned in a Mothers Love'

I may add more details to this at a later stage, but at the moment am leaving it be.

Am nearly finished with the Faces.......

Created with Graphite Pencils and Watercolours.  The lady on the bottom right is a popular Blogger, unfortunately my sketch has made her look about 10 years younger.

The final two Faces which will show later in the week are very different from the others, mainly because I had more time to work on them. Hope you will come back and visit, to see the final Two.

Faces 17 - 24 for 29 Faces

Hi, due to lack of time for blogging this week, am showing all the faces have completed since Sunday for the 29 Faces and am sharing them with Paint Party Friday.

Painted in Watercolours and Gold Pen, with a digital background.

The Face on the left is done with Graphite Pencils and Faber Castell's Coloured Pencils (another first for me using Coloured Pencils)  the others are Graphite Pencils.

Wowee only 5 more Faces to go; to be honest I never thought would get this far so am feeling pretty pleased with myself and its taught me not to be such a scaredy cat about Art Challenges.

Hi, thank you for dropping by.  This weekend I got my long forgotten Watercolours out, mainly forgotten because am rubbish with them............but a challenge is a challenge right.............

This portrait was loosely based from a page in a Hairdressing Magazine.  Why do these girls never smile..........a pout seems to be the thing these days.  So giving you the pout...........

Am loving seeing all the different portraits on 29 Faces, so many techniques and so much to learn.

Thank you for following me on my journey of faces, the benefit for me has been whereas it took me at least a couple of hours to sketch and lots of rubbing out, it now takes about half an hour and very little rubbing out, so lots of pluses.  Am joining this with Paint Party Friday.

Face 9 and Mix it Monthly

Hi, Happy Sunday.............am trying something a little different, this time using paint to outline my face and adding the details last...........never tried it this way round before and have to say its very freeing.

I collect Owls and this is a painting of my latest purchase.  (Cut out and placed on a digital background)

29 Faces - Faces 7 and 8

Hi, am sharing my Faces with Paint Party Friday.  Am slightly ahead because am away all day Saturday.
These are the latest Faces.  Am still trying for realistic, which is a personal challenge.

I know I said after the last male fiasco that would never draw a man again......call it a moment of weakness......

All the above faces need some work done to them when time allows.  So far am really enjoying the challenge of drawing a face a day......only 21 more to do..............eeek.

Hi, after doing ladies thought I would try my hand at sketching men..............not with great results, but then what is a challenge if you don't stretch yourself and come out of your comfort zone, but don't think I will be doing men again anytime soon............

29 FACES - Day 1

Hi, when I saw this challenge to create a face every day for 29 days from Ayala Art, I thought no way, then methinks you definitely need the practice so get off your lazy butt and join in.  My personal challenge is to try and draw faces that are more realistic........mmm not easy, but here goes.....
