On the Easel and a few Hanging Hearts for Paint Party Friday

Hi, wow it sure is a busy time at the moment with Christmas coming soon.  Cards made and bought and quite a few prese's as well.  Am definitely not making a Christmas cake or pudding this year as am the only one that eats it, so its a waste.  Am in the middle of making an altered book for a Christmas decoration.  But today would like to show you whats on my easel, yep have quite a few easel's with work waiting to be completed..........

I think this needs an white acrylic wash over it to tone it down a bit, what do you think, would be pleased to know.

Finished my Christmas hanging hearts.....................yea

One each for the kids trees; usually make a decoration for their trees each year, they are made from chipboard shapes.  Painted, Stamped, Texture Paste, stones and glitter.

I would like to enter these hearts into the The Artistic Stamper Challenge - Christmas

Thank you for popping in and wishing you a happy weekend, we are off visiting over the weekend, but will pop over to see you asap. Take care of yourselves and wrap up warm, hugs Annette x

Love the painting as it is Netty, I would not add a white wash, specially not towards the bottom as you might lose the impact of those beautiful birds.

Love the hanging hearts too, such a sweet stamps!

No to toning it down....I'm a poor one to ask because I'm a color freak!! Love the ornaments and made some similar with a pink pattern years ago they filled my tree and looked adorable... You're a stunning!

Beautiful things, Annette... I love the painting as it is, but I can imagine a wash of white might give it an even more ethereal look, which could be lovely.

And those hanging hearts are simply enchanting - what beautiful decorations. Thanks so much for playing along with us at The Artistic Stamper.

PS - am very sad that you're not getting any Christmas cake or pudding - hope you'll buy yourself a little individual one!

How wonderful!! Love the two birds. I think they look great as is but a white wash might also be nice. If you have Photoshop you could test it without worrying about ruining your painting.

I really like the different patterns in your painting. So pretty! I'll go opposite of the others and suggest that you add a darker wash to create a suggestion of ground. Your heart ornaments are really nice. That's a great idea!

Hey Sugar! Your hanging hearts are wonderful - such a good idea that I will have to contemplate. Annette you are the artist not I. Whatever your heart tells you about your painting will be right! The colors are so pretty.

I too like the painting just the way it is and your hearts are great. Especially the ones with "Gloria" on them. Tee hee.:) Nice work Netty.

I think the painting it fine the way it is, too, but the birds blend in with it much more than the turquoise filigree at the top. If you toned that down just a notch, the birds will stand out more, if that's what you're trying to do. It looks a bit like winter love birds. The ornaments are great. Thanks for sharing.

Those hanging hearts are so cute! Love them! I wouldn't tone down the painting, the colours arent't that strong and I think it looks great as it is!

Your Christmas hanging hearts are so cute! I like them a lot. I am not quite sure about the white wash on the bird painting - the colors are lovely and I like all the white trees as well.

Your decorations are beautiful and very class! Your painting is lovely Netty, if you have a tug for adding something else go with the flow, have fun and play with what feels good!

Wow fantastic creations Netty !

Loving all your art Annette. The painting is great. Perhaps a little shadow under the birds, then if you white wash, (which could look like snow), the birds would pop. You could always wipe off the white, before it dries, if you didn't like it. Have a lovely weekend! hugs ♥♥♥

How wonderful that you make a special ornament for your children each year! It is something they will cherish all of their lives. I still treasure the ornament my grandmother made for me when I was very young :)
