Have taken Week One of the Strathmore free workshop, where the artist encourages us to paint in Abstract Form. The artist had painted a cow, well have never drawn a cow before and don't suppose I ever will again......lol Am not sure if I really understand abstract and the painting below proves it.

Absolutely love how your rain painting turned out, Netty - I think it's probably my favourite of all your paintings so far... I agree that it's full of joyous colours, and I also think you've captured an incredible atmosphere, and exactly the sparkle of the water - wow!

Three very different paintings, and all are really beautiful. I love the many colors in your rain painting, that is truly beautiful and gives a happy mood. I like that you quickly sketch a face and then get it in your art journal.

The rainy day is absolutely wonderful. I love it. The cow, yep it looks like a cow. . .not too abstract, but keep at it, you are close. The FB lady is wonderful, I would love to be able to use less lines (as you did) and have it come out so beautifully. I haven't mastered that yet. Blessings, Janet

You did a great job on your first cow too! I have never tried to draw a cow myself. And I have never tried abstract! yikes!
