To keep myself sane have been working on the June Guys (29 faces) in my journal.
The following male faces are done in the style of Vincent Van Gogh and worked in Oil Pastels.
Also worked in Oil Pastels - Modigiliani Style
Then painted with Acrylics - Chagall Style
I enjoyed exploring the different styles and will probably rework them a bit, it has definitely kept me occupied. The left-hand page of the Chagall style can also go into the Mix it Monthly challenge - Home. and AJJ - houses.
Thanking you again from the bottom of my heart. Take care of yourselves, hugs Annette xx

Sorry about the delay! Good idea to make such lovely portraits to keep yourself occupied, they are great! Hugs, Valerie
How awful to have such a delay, Netty. Not the kind of thing you want to happen at such a sad time.
I do love your portraits, especially the Chagall style ones. And the bearded Modigliani man looks the spitting image of Keanu Reeves!
So sad to here of the passing of your mum and the wait you are having to endure before your final goodbyes.
However your works look amazing :)
Take care Von ♥
So sorry to hear of your sad loss Netty, and the addition of the delays.
Art helps so much at times like these, and your faces and studies of The Masters are so well done. Three of my most loved artists.
I send my loving thoughts to you and your family.
So sad about the delay Netty.
I love your wonderful portraits.

Oh, Annette - I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. I'm only just catching up with the news - how desperately awful to have such a delay with the interment. My heart is with you and your family.
Your portraits are astounding - great art coming out of great struggle, I think. Beautiful work.

These are terrific portraits and what an interesting idea to make them "in the style of". I especially like the Modigiliani, and am impressed that you have made it with oil pastels.
Best wishes to you, Netty, at this sad time.
I am very sorry to hear about your mother Annette, you and your family are in my thoughts. Your artwork is beautiful and very much in the style of the artists you are emulating, but with your own unique flair!

Sorry the delay has occurred. I have never heard of this happening. I like your men portraits very much. I just can't seem to get the hang of painting guys.
I'm sorry to hear that you have lost your mum. I hope you had her for a good long time and have many memories to get you through. Hugs, Sandi
Sorry to hear of your mothers passing. It is never easy to lose someone, but then to have to wait so long is inhumane. I feel for you and am so glad that you do have your art to get you by. Your guys are looking grand, I don't do so well with male faces at all.
Oh Netty, so sorry about your loss. Your Mother was a beautiful lady! Thank you for sharing her picture with us... I am so thankful for your sake that art is an outlet for your grief...I especially love your Chagall pieces...keep painting...hugs to you...
Oh Annette! I have never in my life heard of such a thing. I was in total shock when I read your post about the delay of the final rites.
I am a big Van Gogh fan - wonderful paintings. In fact all the portraits are amazing!
Holding you close in my heart during this very difficult time.

Hi my dear, just read about your sweet Mother passing. I am so sorry and I have never heard of them delaying for so long. I know it just drags out for you and so hard. Hugs and hugs my dear xoxoxo
Such a great way of developing your style. I particularly love your take on the Van Gogh style. Jenny x
I was catching up on your past posts today and was so sad to hear about your mother! The passing of a loved one is such a hard thing to have happen.
Your art, however, is quite striking - I love how you worked in the styles of other artists!
