Reworking and Other Bits and Pieces

Hi, have done some more work on the oil painting shown last week............(in the post below)

Mellowed the colours, softened and reshaped the eyes plus added some more colour to the background.  Like her a lot more now..............

Disastrous Fun

Hi, have been having some fun with my artistic attempts this week.  First going back to using Water Mixable Oils, which am still struggling with, especially waiting for the layers to dry before I can paint over them again.........patience is severely lacking...........hence this painting is neither dry or finished......

Followed with another painting, this time in Acrylics which wouldn't go my way, but am showing it despite itself.

Quite a few disasters, but great fun at the same time.  You have to see joy in the disasters, at least thats what I tell myself.............so it must be true..............lol

Paint Party Friday - Work in Progress, The Color of Summer etc

Hi, have missed the last couple of Paint Party Fridays for various reasons and am glad to be able to show you a few bits have been working on.

Am very close to finishing this large canvas in watermixable oils, just some touching up to do and correcting the errors. Then have to leave it for 6 months before it can be varnished.  This is rather different to the small canvas I did of the same subject which was done in Acrylics a while ago 'Walking in the Rain'.

The Summer of Color is in its third week and am still making the birds using the colors chosen by the majority and then there is a another fun one using the colors of Week 2 below.

A Bit of a Mish Mash......

Hi, its so freezing cold here in Northamptonshire, minus 3 in the day and minus 8 at night and that was yesterday.........brrrrr   Made a huge Cottage Pie to last us a couple of days, this is pure comfort food for these wintry days.

At the end of last terms Art Class I couldn't show you my final painting as it wasn't dry and then when it was I promptly forgot about it.  Here she is finished............(water mixable oils)

Yep had to frame her...........couldn't resist.....lol

Our first day back at Art Class last week we were presented with musical instruments to draw, hells bells never drawn anything like this before and it certainly shows.................lol

Am sure you can spot all the mistakes.............showed my husband when I got home and he said mmmmmm have seen you draw better.................so tactful...............lol

Could show you loads more as have been painting like a mad woman, but will keep them for another week and spare you the trauma of looking at them today.................

Hi, this has to be my last post this year for Paint Party Friday as like everyone else we are ultra busy getting ready for Christmas.

I finished three of my end of term projects - yay, but can only show you two as the paint still hasn't dried on the third one.  But will show it in the New Year......
