Yay she is complete - I think............ Since last week I have made a few adjustments and muted the tones so it was less in your face so to speak. (have shown how it was last week below this photo)

How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face.

Anyways here is another one I did at home, it was supposed to be my husband with a bit of a twist........he said its nothing like me................of course it isn't I said, am using artistic licence..............well that got him.....lol
Am scheduling this post as will be at Art Class this morning, this time doing a small canvas with real oils....wow, another first for me. Loving this class and have already enrolled for the next term.
Life is a bit hectic at the moment with Mum's and Husband's hospital appointments plus trying to get gifts made and ready for Christmas, you know the sort of thing, we all have similar problems and for some its a lot worse, so am thankful I get a little time to play. Later will be heading over to Paint Party Friday to see all those wonderful artists and also to see my other blogging friends fab work.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, and thank you for popping in to see my efforts.
Take care, hugs Annette x

such beautiful work, you have been busy!
Hello Friend..wow..she is gorgeous..I love everything about her..the way her head is tilted...her gaze..and reading the poem beneath matches so perfectly with the energy of her..! I also am so drawn to the vibe and feeling of the clothing..soft textures..yet so rich -so decadent...and the color-palette is magnificent! Oh my your watercolors are wonderful too..beautiful work! Hope all is well and sparkling in your world!
yay..love this new blog..so glad I found it!

Wonderful portrait and other creative works ~ (A Creative Harbor) ^_^
Beautiful portrait - reminds me of Modigliani - and I love the one of your husband. If I were doing one of my husband, in the brain would be chocolate chip cookies! Happy PPF!
Love your finished beauty and your watercolorwork is totally amazing!!! Happy PPF!
Beautiful projects! Have a great weekend!
I think you've found your niche, Netty. Your work in water-based oils is just fantastic. No reason you can't branch out into the watercolor world as well, but it is a horse of a different color. I'm more comfy with oils than watercolors myself, but I keep trying to gain a smidgen of ability at the watercolors. Your boot is wonderful. Keep up the good work.
All of your work is gorgeous. Just keep painting, whatever the medium! I love the poem also.
The portrait is very lovely, love your colors and soft impressionistic touch . The still life and and husband watercolor are very original and creative!
I love to see all your different projects from WIP to finish. Don't give up on still life or watercolors. I am glad you are excited by oils too. Great variety of art this week.
Beautiful paintings. Hope things settle down for you. Hugs ANesha
lovely work this week Netty!
Love your portrait very much. Watercolour can be a bit difficult at first so keep it up.
Annette, your finished art looks wonderful and I bet its even nicer in situ. I love your chosen colours. Please don't be so hard on yourself ,your still life was really good. Just you carry on enjoying your classes, that's what matters. Well Done. Hugs Rita xx
wonderful drawings and paintings and I LOVE your commentary on each of them!
You were right to go with the more muted colors on the painting. Now it has a beautiful, introspective mood. It's really lovely.
glad you put the link I wondered where you lovely paintings had gone, I love the one of your hubby, love the script writing....so talented
hugs
I find the colors more subdued this week. Greetings.
Excellent work Netty. Glad you got some needed rest. Take care and thank you for sharing your lovely work.
Netty the watercolour painting you did at home is genius! Really love it. Love all of your stuff and wish I had an art class like yours near me it sounds wonderful. xxx
I love your lady with the tilted head - she seems to be so deep in thought - lovely :)
Hi Netty. The lady looks less flushed now and very beautiful too. I had a chuckle when I read your art teacher gave you the wellie boot. Don't be hard on yourself about watercolour though. You are doing great. It just takes time and lots of practice. Enjoy your week.
Hi Annette. Your whole art works are amazing. Word 'Beautiful' does not describe your art enough. You are so inspirational. Thank you so much for sharing.
beautiful pieces this week Netty. I like the way you painted your husband, very creative!
She became very lovely!
But I like the highligtheningface highlightened also!
It's fun to see the changes.
Yes, sure - time is short now, and shorter it will be.. :/
but we are happy to have the paintbrushes and paints to calm down with,
it's so meditative :) so it is to visit your blog :)
She turned out just perfect Netty! I love her! I admire those who have mastered water colors!! You are definitely expanding your horizon...good for you!
Hugs Giggles
Beautiful work, Netty! Hugs, Valerie
beautiful works all of it! I am so thrilled about your art class. Such fun! Your work is coming along beautifully each time!
Hi Netty,
Your girl turned out brillantly. Love her. You've really captured Modigliani's style and made it your own. I like your wellie. Looks good to me, your being way to hard on yourself. Like the head too. Wish I could find a good art class round here. :)
You're not rubbish at still life! I think that boot looks great! But that painting of your husband with a twist.... I LOVE it! Your portrait is looking wonderful too.
she turned out beautiful.. a little bit Modiglianian feel fo rme! GREAT!
She's very pretty Annette, I also love the welly boot!
She's beautiful Netty and I love your boot too.
xxx Hazel.
Beautiful and serene woman. Found your blog via Jenny at 'a simpler life'. I love your blog so far and see you are definately not 'Billy No Friends'. I have been blogging since 2005 and have less followers.
It has been so neat to watch her develop! I think your final touches are fabulous! Happy PPF!
Hello Netty! I am your fiftieth follower!! :-) I love the Yeats quote and your Maud Gonne looks beautiful!
Stunning pieces all of them Netty and don't do yourself down on your work with water colours. The more muted version of your Modigliani lady is awesome!
Your lady looks so poised and elegant...Like the one of your husband too :)
They are all great Annette! I think the still life one looks fine, and the husband painting is really cool!!
That's Good.

i love all your work Netty. The finished portrait of a lady is beautiful and the words you have chosen fit perfectly. Good Luck with your art course sounds very good.
hello Netty,
so wonderful to see each of your pieces. I love what you did with the top painting, so fun to see it come to life with each stage. i had to smile at the one of your husband, i think it is fabulous.
Netty I love your pieces, so much depth and soul!
And, thank you for going to the extra work of showing your progress as it moves along: It's fun and interesting to me to see how your gorgeous paintings gain layers of life week after week!
Netty, the art is so lovely! Beautiful pieces...
Thanks for your visit :)
I love your finished piece, there's such a nice feeling to it! I also think your boot is quite charming. I love artistic license, I try to never leave home without it :). It's great that you found a class that you love. The holidays certainly are hectic, especially with pressing family matters, I am happy to see your art though.
You do beautiful work Netty...husband should be delighted, he looks great.
what a great blog Netty - wonderful artwork - I had to laugh when you said - of course it doesnt look like you I used artistic license! I should use that one myself when I get similar comments! I keep hearing about this Paint Party Friday thing, must look into that sounds great!
Hello Netty,
Thank you for the nice comment on my "Daydreamer." I enjoyed seeing all your work today. I hope you enjoyed the oil painting class. I had to give up working with oils because I developed asthma and the smell of the paint and terp bothered me. I miss it! I'm happy to be another new follower of your blog!
Cindy
don't you just love artistic license!
Your girl is lovely, and the quote from Yeats if perfect--
Happy PPF!
Somehow in my wacko life I missed this posting - hmmm and I subscribe to this too. I must need new glasses. It is so much fun to follow your progress. I am so glad you decided to post what you are doing. Loved the quote from Yeats and it goes with your lady perfectly. You know, you have quite an imagination! Your husband's esophagus looks just like him!
Sandy
The more muted palette really suits her mood.. She is lovely, and finished!
